The last year has seen much change come to the Dracthyr. After awakening from an unnatural slumber two myriads long they have wrestled with the true intentions of their creator, fought within their own ranks for his legacy, and emerged into a world that is utterly changed from the one they were created to protect.And yet much remains the same. Old foes have gone undefeated, and the ever present threat of the void rears its head once again.While the Aspects and their allies celebrate a renewal for the dragons of Azeroth the Dracthyr must now learn to stand on their own. If they are to shape their own destiny, one that is free of the shackles of control, then they must be decisive and act to preserve their new found freedom.With the Adamant Vigil sundered beyond repair the Dracthyr are without their eyes and ears. The Prismatic Gaze has been tasked with filling this void. Once this new weyrn's ranks are filled they can begin to hunt Iridikron and his new allies, seek and destroy artifacts that might be used to control them, and find answers about the Titans and their plans for Azeroth.

The Gaze is intended to combine the best aspects of your favorite D&D group and your favorite guild. We're focused on slow growth, starting with just a single party of dracthyr looking to make their way in the world. This allows us to focus on creating character driven roleplay for new dracthyr players.We have weekly Roleplay events, and since we're starting small we can tailor their times to our membership. If you're a busy adult who feels like you might have missed out on exploring the Dracthyr's story then we might be the right place for you.
The Story So Far
Gray light washed over the tiers of stone that made up Valdrakken's lower courtyards, the brightness of dawn that illuminated the tall spire of the Seat of the Aspects having not yet reached past the jagged teeth of Thaldraszus' mountainous wardens. In the early morning quiet a figure made its way across the plaza and mounted the stairs that rose into the administrative building carved into the Seat's wide base."Scale Commander Corzethal reporting," the figure spoke, their voice booming in the quiet space. "I'm here to register a new weyrn with the city..."

Scale Commander
As in any weyrn the Scale Commander acts as the leader and guide for the rest of the band. With a smaller weyrn like the Gaze the Scale Commander's position is more hands-on than otherwise.Guild Leader

Within the Prismatic Gaze members are organized into Wings of five individuals. Among them the Wing Leader acts as the lieutenant, answering directly to the Scale Commander.Officer Role
Talons
The rank and file of the Gaze are its Talons. With such a small group there's little need for additional division, although Talons that take on specific duties may be given an additional title.Member

Adventure System
We use a Adventure System based on the WoW Conquest System along with Dicemaster to augment storytelling in game. Our philosophy is that systems like this should be used to add to existing RP and create fun and unexpected moments. As such we try to keep the system elements simple and most of our roleplay open and organic.Required Add Ons

Getting Started
Open the character sheet document and follow the five easy steps at the top to create your character. Once you're done you can add their new abilities to the Dicemaster addon in game.
Rules
We were founded by LGBTQ+ members and cater explicitly to queer stories. If that isn't of interest to you, or you're uncomfortable with broadly leftist beliefs then you will not be a good fit.TERFs and cops can fuck right off.
All Applicants should be 21 years of age or older.
We have a 3-strikes policy for no-showing to events you signed up for. Shit happens, but organizing things takes time and basic communication is a courtesy we all deserve.
There's absolutely zero room for hate-speech or harassment here. Period. Also we expect you to respect people's names and pronouns.
Be respectful. Get consent first. Additionally, respect if someone revokes consent or asks you to stop whether in an IC or OOC context.
We're sex positive here, but there should be no ERP in public channels and no porn in the Discord. (I'm old and don't have the spoons to mod that.)

Recruitment is now closed! We will reopen for recruitment once new Dracthyr classes have a release date.
Because our goal is to tell stories that weave in a character's backstory and goals we only open recruitment for specific slots. You can see the number of spaces available for recruitment in the column to the right.This limited recruitment means we accept applications and then select from those, looking primarily for characters that are a good fit and folks who vibe with our roleplay style. Your character should be in tune with the weyrn's goal, and you should feel comfortable with our rules and schedule.Our application is robust because we want to build stories around your character's goals and motivations. The more information you give us, the more we're able to weave that into the group's overarching story. You can download the application in text format here so you can prepare before applying via google form.
Requirements to Join
Must be a Dracthyr In-Character. Because they are not currently allowed to be classes other than Evokers we're allowing other race stand-ins.
Player must be over 21 years of age.
Character must be interested in the goals of the weyrn as listed below.

Hunt Iridikron and his new allies down and end their schemes.
Seek and destroy artifacts that might be used to control the Dracthyr or others.

With the backing of a handful of allies within Valdrakken Scale Commander Corzethal begins seeking out unaffiliated dracthyr in order to form a new weyrn. Calling upon their own memories of the ancient past they are seeking dracthyr of particular skill and cunning.Events

No, We’re not exclusively LGBTQ+, but our leadership are queer and you can expect queer NPCs and themes to show up in stories regularly. You should be comfortable with that and with being around queer folks.When do you usually run events?
We are EST based, but will do our best to accommodate folks. It’s most likely at this point that events will happen in the evenings between 7pm and 11pm EST. We'll try to pick an evening where everyone can join.Are you dracthyr only?
Yes, at this point we are only accepting IC dracthyr as applicants. However, since dracthyr have only one class we're accepting other races as long as they are being used as a stand-in until new Dracthyr classes are officially added.Do we know what classes they are getting?
